where we've come from...During its steady growth over the past 120 years, Woolsey Baptist Church has undergone two name changes. It was first named Harmony Grove Missionary Baptist Church when it was constituted on August 26, 1888 with 23 charter members in a small country store at Woolsey, Georgia. The first pastor was Dr. I.G. Woolsey, a medical doctor who was also a farmer and landowner. During his eight years as pastor, a church building was constructed and dedicated to the Lord God in March 1889. Read more here...
